Eileen V. Wilhoit Wilcox is the mother of Julene. She received her degrees in music education and taught in the elementary schools in Rexburg. When Julene was a baby, she started teaching part-time at Ricks College and subsequently, Brigham Young University-Idaho. She is now retired but loves to say that as well as teaching piano, she taught the only class on campus that one could “fiddle around for credit—Bluegrass Band!” She and her husband, Terry, have five other daughters and one son who died when he was only a year old. They currently have twenty-three grandchildren who all do (or will) play violin!
